These repeat clients wanted to share their love of Italy with their eldest daughter and her husband, so we put together an itinerary that included Venice, Como, and Florence. From a tour of the Doge’s Palace and one of Murano, Burano and Torcello, to exploring Lake Como via private boat tour, to checking out the art and music of Florence, not to mention a hands on cooking class, they truly enjoyed their trip to Italy.

They chose to split their stay between Dublin and Galway, opting for more time in each destination to immerse themselves more fully than bopping around quickly. After they enjoyed Ireland, mom and dad continued on their own to Paris for some special time together just the two of them.

Read MoreLast fall, I had the pleasure to take a river cruise down the Rhine (technically, we went north, but it was downstream so I’ll say down). We started in Basel, Switzerland, going through France, Germany, and ending in Amsterdam. This is the route that many newbies to river cruises like to start with, because it is the river that has over 40 castles in a 40 mile stretch. It was great to sit and watch as they passed by, with a delicious hot chocolate or two in hand.

They love good food, so they were excited to spend time in Florence before heading to Cinque Terre and enjoying relaxing there. From Cinque Terre they continued to Parma and an amazing cheese, ham and balsamic tour. They finished in San Gimignano with views of the rolling vineyards all around.

While they were in London, they also took a day to head to Warner Bros studios to see the Harry Potter sets and costumes.
