What I'm Working on: My own trip to Jordan & Egypt - April 15, 2026
From Petra to the Pyramids — this time it's my turn to journey through Jordan & Egypt!
Jordan & Egypt – 10 Days
This month, I’m sharing something extra special — my own trip! I'll be heading to Jordan and Egypt in May for a journey filled with ancient history, desert landscapes, incredible food, and some true bucket-list moments. It’s a wonderful mix of guided touring and free time to explore, which is exactly how I love to travel.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Amman
Ahlan wa sahlan! I arrive in Amman and settle in before my tour group's evening welcome meeting. If I have time, I may head up to the Citadel for sweeping views over the city or wander downtown in search of some delicious ara’yes to start the trip off right.
Day 2 – Mt. Nebo, Dead Sea & Petra
Today is full in the best way. Our group will visit Mt. Nebo, float in the Dead Sea (yes, really float!), explore the crusader castle of Kerak, and then continue on to Petra for the night.
Day 3 – Petra
Today we explore Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Walking through the Siq and seeing the Treasury appear for the first time is something I’ve always wanted to experience. We’ll spend the day discovering tombs and temples, and maybe I'll even hike up to the Monastery if I'm feeling ambitious.
Day 4 – Wadi Rum
We drive to Wadi Rum’s dramatic desert landscape for a jeep safari through sandstone mountains and ancient carvings. Tonight, we’ll stay in a Bedouin desert camp under the stars — one of those travel moments you never forget.
Day 5 – Dahab
We say goodbye to Jordan and ferry across to Egypt, continuing on to the relaxed beach town of Dahab. The rest of the day is free to explore the cafés, enjoy fresh seafood, or dip our toes into the Red Sea.
Day 6 – Dahab
A free day to enjoy the coast. I may snorkel at the famous Blue Hole, relax by the water, or simply take in the laid-back vibe that makes Dahab so special.
Day 7 – St. Catherine
Today we drive to St. Catherine and settle in before dinner. For those in the group who are up for it, there’s the option to hike Mount Sinai overnight and watch the sunrise from the summit — and you know I'm doing that!
Day 8 – St. Catherine & Cairo
This morning we visit St. Catherine’s Monastery, one of the oldest working monasteries in the world. Afterward, we make our way to Cairo and settle in near the pyramids, ready for an exciting day ahead.
Day 9 – Cairo
My tour group departs, but I stay on, exploring Cairo’s icons. I'll stand in front of the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx, enjoy a camel ride in their shadow, and visit the Egyptian Museum to see royal treasures, including King Tut’s artifacts.
Day 10 – Cairo & London
Today I head to the airport for my flight to London, where I'll spend one final night before heading home the next day — wrapping up an incredible journey through two fascinating countries.
I’m so excited to experience this adventure and bring firsthand insight back to my clients. Jordan and Egypt have been on my list for a long time, and I can’t wait to share more once I return.
