It's My Favorite Month of the Year!

August is my favorite, and it's not just because it's my birthday month and I'm a Leo who loves birthday attention! :) It is because some of my favorite local attractions open: The Renaissance Festival, and the Minnesota State Fair (now crowned the best State Fair in the country according to USA Today). 

The kids and I tend to go to the State Fair around 4 times, and Jacob usually comes once or twice (he isn't as big of a fan as the rest of us). We enjoy finding some free things to do (like making a wooden item at the Home Depot, going through the Little Farm Hands exhibit, checking out the art and baked goods submitted for judging, and watching the dog shows) as well as getting some rides on the Midway or Kidway in.
