September Vibes

September is always bittersweet, as it marks the end of summer and my kids going back to school (giving me more solid, uninterrupted working time). It also typically marks the month of a big travel conference where I get to see friends & colleagues that I don't often get to see in person. This September also brings me to Europe, to experience a river cruise along the Rhine river!

World25 - Big Success!

As I mentioned, I traveled to a travel conference earlier this month called World25 in Dallas. This is my host agency's big conference, and a great time to network, learn more about tour operators and other travel suppliers, and hear best practices around running a successful travel agency.

This year, like several of the years before, I won a Monarch Agency of Excellence award that recognizes Experience Culture Travel for the service I provide to my clients, the efforts I make at collaboration with fellow advisors, and the diligence to continuing my education efforts in the travel space. I received the award at the Lone Star gala night, so obviously I had to dress up along the lines of someone who may have been from the show Dallas (no specific character, just the essence of that show). 

Rhine River Cruise Coming Up!

If you've emailed me lately, you may have noticed my upcoming out of office dates are a bit heavier than usual. I am excited to be heading off to Basel, Switzerland on Saturday to cruise down the Rhine to Amsterdam (which is sort of confusing since I'll be going north, but it is technically downstream). I will have very limited access to my emails while there (Sept 27 - Oct 7), but I've provided my travelers with an emergency contact in my stead. I'll be soaking up the vibes and learning firsthand why river cruises are such a great way to explore Europe!
