Winter views from scenic Swiss trains - what a dream!
Switzerland & Milan - 9 Days
These clients contacted me to plan their scenic trip through Switzerland with an emphasis on the Glacier Express and Bernina Express trains. The best friend duo wanted to check off this bucket list itinerary together during Christmas Market season so they could enjoy those special markets as well.
Itinerary
Day 1 - Zurich
On their first day, they will be taking the Lindt Chocolate Tour and exploring Zurich.
Day 2 - Zurich to Lake Lucerne
Today they head over to Lucerne to stay at the luxe Bürgenstock Resort. They'll be taking the scenic catamaran and funicular to get breathtaking views of the mountains.
Day 3 - Spa Day!
A great girlfriend trip can always use a spa day, and especially so when you are staying at a premium resort with expansive spa!
Day 4 - Lake Lucerne to Zermatt
Time to be moving on, and today they will take a private transfer that brings them to Mount Titlis for some winter fun on their way to Zermatt.
Day 5 - Zermatt
While in Zermatt, they will have opportunity to take the Glacier Cable Car and experience Europe's highest cable car station. The ride up provides views of the famous Matterhorn as well.
Day 6 - Glacier Express Train to St. Moritz
The highlight of their trip is today: taking the Glacier Express Train through Switzerland's beautiful scenery.
Day 7 - St. Moritz
Today they have an open day to enjoy some of their hotel's activities, such as dog sledding, tobogganing, or winter canyoning.
Day 8 - Bernina Express Train & Milan
Another highlight of their trip comes today as they take the Bernina Express to Torano, and then a private transfer from their to Milan.
Day 9 - Milan
Another open day, this time to explore all that Milan has to offer. Whether they choose to revel in the fashion, or relax at a cafe, they're sure to have a great time together.
